Pastor Ralph Shrum

Thanks for taking time to visit our website. My name is Ralph Shrum. I am pastor here at Living Water Indepent Church. Let me make a brief introduction of myself to you. I was born again on July 15th, 1973 at Laager Congregational Methodist Church in Greutli-Laager, TN. My wife was saved three days later. We began attending Paynes Cove CMC shortly afterward because my father pastored there. Eventually we made our way to Myers Hill CMC where I taught  Sunday school for a few years. On the evening of March 1st, 1978, the Lord called me into the ministry as I was praying in my barn. I knew the call was real but I put off preaching until I was about to be in serious trouble with my Lord. I announced my calling on June 24th, 1979, and I preached my first message that night. My text verse came from Jeremiah 6-16. That was quite a while ago. Since then I have pastored four churches. I pastored McMinnville CMC from '80 to '84, Griffith Creek CMC from '85 to '92, and Myers Hill CMC from '92 to '03. I have been pastor at Living Water Church since it was organized on the night of July 20th, 2003. I have been privileged to see several souls saved after having heard the gospel. My wife and I have two sons and a daughter. They are all saved. We have two grand daughters and a grandson. Our oldest grand daughter has already given her heart to God and I believe the other two will when they are older. The Lord is doing a great work at LWIC. We have a good Sunday school with competent teachers. We have an excellent choir and we have preaching that is not just in wisdom of words but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power.
